PH KING KHAN                   White Male                                                                DOB:  7/4/2006
       Sire:  The Aga Khan (White)
       Dam:   PH Cleome (White)

PH King KhanWhat can we say?  This young boy is an outstanding example of what The Aga Khan, our 11 time Champion,  is putting on the ground.  King Khan is big boned, has very correct conformation and, at 3 1/2 months of age, weighed in at 78 pounds.  He stands tall & proud and has a wonderful disposition.  But, it's his fleece that has people talking!  Soft and dense, very high frequency crimp and full of tight, well organized bundles. King Khan's fleece is what we strive for when we hear the judges refer to "elite fleece".  His dam, PH Cleome, is part of our foundation herd and has consistently given us award winning offspring, including PH Legacy's Kingsley who we sold at the 2004 AOBA National Auction and PH Casanova's Christianna who is another member of our foundation herd.  We were confident that the pairing of Cleome with The Aga Khan would be special.  It's one of those breedings where you even hope for a male.  Our wish was granted, in spades!!  And that result impressed us enough that we plan to rebreed Cleome to The Aga Khan.  Now, King Khan moves on to the show circuit.  In his first appearance at the North American Alpaca Show, King did not disappoint us with his second place showing in a large class of 14 where the judge, Amanda VandenBosch, commented on the depth of the entire class.  The judge started her orals by saying that her placement "was not meant to take anything away from the young male standing second, as the two standing at the head of this class could change positions at any given show".  Her comment was particularly pleasing when, in the Championship Class, the first place male in King's class stepped up to take the Championship as a juvenile.  Not bad company to keep!

King went on to take a fourth at the Futurity, a second at the PAOBA Breeder's Showcase and a well deserved Blue Ribbon at MaPACA.  And to finish off his sping show season, he was part of the winning trio who garnered a Blue Ribbon in the Get of Sire class for his proud father, The Aga Khan.

PH LEGEND'S ILLUMINATI              White Male                                               DOB:  7/03/2006
        Sire:  Legacy's Legend (White)
        Dam:  PH Seagram's Dawn (White/Beige)

PH Legend's IlluminatiLou, as we call him, has been illuminating our lives since the day he was born.  A grandson to the illustrious 4Peruvian Legacy and to the renown PPPeruvian Mr. President, Lou is out of two of our finest Alpacas.  Legacy's Legend, a three time Blue Ribbon winner in the always highly competitive white classes, is a chip off the old block and carries many of the outstanding attributes of his sire.  Legend is large boned, has great coverage right down over his toes, a fine, dense fleece and incredible staple length and fleece weight.  He sheared almost 16 pounds in 2005!  And Lou's dam, PH Seagram's Dawn, is a beautiful white and beige lady who has also excelled in the show ring, including taking a White Championship.  Lou has solid bone and conformation and his fleece is, not surprisingly, a credit to his sire and dam.  Very soft, good staple length and crimpy from the tips to the skin.  We look forward to showing him off as one of our shining stars in the spring shows.
