CREDENTIALS.  This alpaca sure has them!! First, she is a superior rated female from a well-recognized gray breeding program. At the helm of that group, was the magnificent Rose to the Occasion. Rose dominated the show ring winning TEN COLOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, including ... Color Champion 2006 AOBA National Conference and Color Champion 2006 All American Futurity.

Her dam is gray and her sire, 3-time champion Dark Shaddow, is the 2006 Dark Reserve Herdsire of the Year.  Rose is also a proven female, having produced a stunning rose gray female in February 2007. Rose is now bred to 9-time Champion & 4-time Get-of-Sire winner, Simba of A.L. Paca's, whose credits include siring a 13-time GRAY champion regarded as stellar.  Simba & Rose will produce what should be one incredible cria!

ENCHANTMENT'S SANTA CLARA    True Black Female         DOB: 6/15/03
    Sire:  Dom Lucilio (Fawn)

Dam:  QU11 Carmela

Enchantment's Santa ClaraSanta Clara’s sire, Dom Lucilio, was the record-setting male who sold in 2004 for $400,000.  However, not to be outdone, her grand sire, PPPervian Royal Fawn, set a new world record just this past fall when he sold for $600,000!  Now ... that's what you call "A Million Dollar Baby"!!!  Santa Clara's dam was purchased by Enchantment Farm for her solid framed conformation and true black color, hoping to add the kind of fleece they were striving for with Dom's offspring.  Fortunately, they were elated with the results, as we obviously were when we brought her into our breeding program.  In addition, Clara has her dam’s and her sire’s quiet dispositions.  At her first show, she calmly paced around the ring and collected her first blue ribbon at six months of age at the 2004 Southwest Regional Alpaca Show and patiently moved up to the front row when her sister was named Color Champion.  Then, Clara calmly accepted her Reserve Black Female Color Championship! Clara has the soft, dense fleece and excellent conformation you’d expect to find with her outstanding genetics.

Santa Clara has a Challenger female cria at side, PH Challenger's Santa Lucia.

Sire:  Peruvian Black Epic (True Black)

Dam:  PH Felix’s Chocolat (True Black)

PH Black Epic's NoreenBoth Noreen’s maternal grand dam and her dam are ribbon winners.  Her sire, P. Black Epic, is a Seven time Color Champion.  Noreen displays a grand presence and is very friendly.  In her first show, the 2004 North American Alpaca Show, at just over six months old Noreen took a fourth as the youngest in a very large class.  She was a real attention-getter, both in the ring and in her pen, with her extremely lustrous, black bold-crimped fleece.  She went on to take a 3rd Place at the All American Alpaca Futurity and then, with great pride, a Blue Ribbon at the 2004 MaPaca Jubilee, the largest alpaca show in the country to date.  Noreen's cria at side, PH Navigator's Bliss, is a stunning dark gray or rose gray female with white socks and tuxedo.  Her fleece is showing early signs of having the same outstanding characteristics of both her dam and sire.

Noreen has a stunning true black male out of El Numero Uno by her side, PH Black Ice.

PH PERUVIAN BOBCAT'S KATARINA     Dark Fawn Female                DOB:  8/11/04
    Sire:  C. Peruvian Bobcat (Fawn)
    Dam:  CP Gayle (Medium Brown)

PH Peruvian Bobcat's KatarinaKatarina may have the best conformation of all our females.  She is well proportioned, is big boned, has a large capacity chest, a perfectly straight topline & legs and an impressive head.  Her dense fiber has beautiful bold crimp, consistent throughout, and a very soft hand.  Katarina's male siblings, Donatello's The Don and Camelot’s Challenger,  are both Blue Ribbon herd sires.  Challenger also boasts a Color Championship before his first birthday and both brothers earned her dam, CP Gayle, a ribbon in a Produce of Dam class in 2003.  Her sire, CP Bobcat, is also a multiple ribbon winner.

Her success in the 2005 show ring was on the rise ... with a Third Place at the All American Futurity, a Second Place (in a class of 12) at MaPACA, a Blue Ribbon at SEPA and, closing out the fall show season, a Blue Ribbon along with a Reserve Color Championship (out of 48 brown females) at the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza.  Her 2006 show season was just as impressive with a Third Place at the North American, a First Place at MaPACA and, to finish off her show career, a Second Place at the AOBA Nationals.  In addition, her fleece took a Second Place at MaPACA.  Katarina certainly got some attention at the shows before retiring into production.

Katarina was the first to present us with a cria this spring, a handsome medium fawn male out of Legacy's Legend, PH Legacy's Katmandu.

    Dam:  MSA America (Medium Brown)
Service SireAABC Navigator (Medium Silver Gray)                         Due Date:  July 2007

PH Accoyo Santino's American PridePride’s fleece was loaded with crimp from the moment she hit the ground and her conformation is absolutely perfect!  Pride boasts an impressive pedigree that includes Peruvian Hemingway, Accoyo 2P Camilio, Accoyo 2P Felix, Accoyo 4P Pachacuti, Accoyo 3P Dracula and Peruvian Accoyo Santino all wrapped into one beautiful female. Both her sire and her dam are Championship winners. We are very proud of Pride as she has excelled amongst some of the country's stiffest competition, carrying on her line's success.   Pride has consistently ribboned and finished off her show career with a Blue Ribbon at the 2005 SEPA show.  We have chosen Navigator to sire Pride's first cria, due summer of 2007.  This combination promises to be a winner!

Dam:  MFI Peruvian Accent
Service SireAABC Navigator (Medium Silver Gray)                         Due Date:  June 2007

My Peruvian AdrasteaAdrastea’s fleece (17 micron in 2004 and, two years later and after her first cria, 16.4 in 2006!) won a special award for Best Brightness at MaPaca and she won a Blue Ribbon and Reserve Championship at the 2003 OABA show.  She has excellent conformation and a beautiful, soft fleece with lots of character.  Her grandsire is P. Emilio, a fabulous male with a dense, Accoyo-like crimpy fleece.  Her dam is P. Accent, the daughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, the darkest Accoyo male in North America.  Although, she is technically beige, Adrastea has gray on her face.  Her top knot presents as beige; however, when parted, is gray inside & all her pigmentation is dark!  And, confirming our suspicions, Adrastea's first cria, PH Pistol's Gun Smoke, is a beautiful light brown (almost taupe) male who's color classification may lean more to gray as it comes in.  He has perfect conformation and his fleece shows early signs of magnificent crimp and character.  Continuing in our confidence that Adrastea's markings will influence gray in her offspring, we have bred her to AABC Navigator.  This will prove to be one of our more exciting breedings!

          White/Beige Female (Bred)                DOB:  9/22/03
    Sire:  Mr. President's Seagram (White)
Dam:  Skyeview Morning Glory (Medium Fawn)
Service SireGarrison (Dark Brown)                                         Due Date:  September 2007

PH Seagram's DawnDawn, sired by P. Seagram (Multiple Blue Ribbon winner & Color Champion whose sire, Mr. President, sold for $150,000) took a 2nd Place ribbon in her very first show.  She competed in a huge white class at the largest North American Show to date where there were over 900 entries.  Since then, she placed in every show she entered this past year - The All American Futurity and MaPaca (the largest show in the country) and then Dawn went on to take 2nd place in the white composite class at the AOBA Nationals.  She completed her 2004 show season with a Blue Ribbon and a Color Championship at the Breeder's Choice Futurity.  Dawn’s dam is a multiple ribbon winner as well and has passed on her easy going temperament to her daughter.  We bred Dawn to Legacy's Legend, crossing the Legacy genetics with a Mr. President offspring, and are excited to announce that our decision has paid off in spades.  Her cria at side, PH Legend's Illuminati (Lou for short), is just what we were looking for.  This male cria will be at the head of our show string next spring.  Keep an eye out for him.  And for her 2007 encore, we have bred Dawn to our 9 time Champion, Garrison.

    Dam:  Shelburne (Dark Fawn)

PH CleomeCleo, one of our herd’s charmers with a wonderful temperament, started collecting ribbons in very competitive white halter classes in the Spring of 2001.  Her dam & sire are Blue Ribbon winners in both the Produce & Get Classes at the 2001 Extravaganza.  Cleo has superior conformation and a very dense fleece with full coverage.  Cleo’s first cria is a gorgeous, large boned white female (PH Legacy's Kingsley, sired by Accoyo Peruvian Legacy) who has won three Blue Ribbons and a Reserve Championship and is now owned by Abenaki Acres, our partners with Garrison Cleome's second cria,  PH Casanova's Christianna, is another beautiful white girl who we feel confident will make us as proud as Kingsley.  Christy has taken a Fifth Place in a very large class at the 2005 All American Futurity and a Blue Ribbon at the 2005 SEPA Show.  In 2006, Cleo presented us with an outstanding bright bright white cria out of The Aga Khan.  PH King Khan has very solid conformation and his fleece looks to be a real show stopper like his sire's.   We look forward to his introduction to the show ring and plan to rebreed Cleome to The Aga Khan when he returns to Parris Hill Farm early this summer.

PH AUGUSTO'S SYDNEY     White Female                             DOB:  7/22/02
    Sire:  PPPeruvian Augusto (White)
    Dam:  PH Calendula (Light Fawn)

PH Augusto's SydneySydney, a very typey white 1/2 Accoyo female sired by the highest selling Huacaya in the World at the time, is curious and very sweet.  Her 18.2 micron played a big part in her placing 2nd in a huge class of white’s at her first show ever, the 2003 North American Alpaca Show.  Unfortunately, we missed her class at the 2003 Nationals, so we’re not certain how she would have done … but we have a pretty good idea.  She earned another 2nd Place ribbon at the 2004 North American Show, the largest alpaca show at that time with over 900 entries.  All of the white halter classes Sydney has entered have been huge and extremely competitive and yet, she has proudly ribboned in them all.  Sydney’s dam, Calendula, is a multiple ribbon winner and Reserve Champion.  Cali boasts a 20.7 adult micron.  Sydney's first cria, PH Legend's Super Silas, is a Blue Ribbon winning, bright white, 19.8 micron Legacy / Augusto cross male with a spectacular fleece out of our award-winning Legacy son, Legacy's Legend.

This spring, Sydney presented us with a bright, bright whihte female out of our Aga Khan.  This little girl's brilliant white fiber prompted us to name her Khanstellation.  She will indeed be our shining star in the show ring.

    Sire:  Caligula's Casanova (White)
    Dam:  PH Cleome (White)
Service SireGarrison (Dark Brown)                                               Due Date:  September 2007

PH Casanova's ChristiannaMore incredible genetics!  This solid  half Accoyo girl’s fleece already cracks all over whenever she moves. Christy displays the density, brightness and handle expected of an elite white.  Her dam, Cleome, has shined for us in the show ring.  Cleo is ½ Accoyo,  a member of our foundation herd and is the dam of our PH Legacy’s Kingsley (a multiple Blue Ribbon/Color Champion female that we sold at the 2004 AOBA Auction for $35,000 as a maiden).  Christy's sire Casanova, a Caligula son, exemplifies the phenotypic qualities that made his late, great father the most famous herd sire in North America and he’s passed these qualities on to his daughter.  Casanova's 2002 fiber stats are:  MC: 16.3, SD: 3.1 CV: 18.7%,  >30: 0.1%.  Casanova’s show placings are indicative of the quality he represents.  The range of judges that have placed him first at shows since he began showing as a juvenile include Maggie Krieger, Dr. Julio Sumar, Kristin Buhrmann and Mike Safley.  In the usual very competitive white classes, Christy took a Fifth Place at the 2005 All American Futurity, followed by a well-deserved Blue Ribbon at the 2005 SEPA Show.   And, at the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza, she closed out the 2005 show season with a Second Place ribbon in a class of 10, placing right behind the Reserve Color Champion.  She is showing the same great promise that her sire has achieved.  Chritianna has been bred to Garrison, our Championship male with nine banners.  We are confident that the result will be an outstanding "criation".
